| (a) Authority. Authority for this subchapter is provided in the Texas Education Code, Chapter 61, Subchapter DD, Repayment of Certain Education Loans Owed by Certain State Attorneys. These rules establish procedures to administer the program as prescribed in the Texas Education Code, §§61.9721 - 61.9732. (b) Purpose. The purpose of the Education Loan Repayment Program for Attorneys Employed by the Office of the Attorney General is to recruit and retain attorneys in the Office of the Attorney General of the State of Texas. |
